Q&A WITH ANN
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WAY TO PRACTICE SELF CARE, APART FROM SKINCARE?
Gua-sha facial massages. They have been my go-to for the longest time and is so easy to incorporate into your daily skin routine. I love how comforting they are to my skin, and I like to use my Good Molecules Ultra-Hydrating Facial Oil whenever I do a gua-sha!

HOW DO YOU CONTINUE LEARNING ABOUT NEW PRODUCTS OR INGREDIENTS?
A balanced diet is important, but vitamins should go on your skin too! Pick the right ingredients found in products that can nourish your skin (think vitamin C!) Depending on my skin concerns, I check the ingredient list used on new products and usually do research on the effectiveness of them before making a decision if I should try something new.
HOW DO YOU CHOOSE YOUR SKINCARE PRODUCTS?
Due to the nature of my eczema, sensitive prone skin, I place a lot of emphasis on the transparency of the ingredients used in skincare product. In the recent months, I’ve also been mindful of the company’s carbon footprint and try my best to opt for more sustainable options. I also check a company’s ethos on being not just diverse but also whether they are taking active steps to be cruelty-free and sustainable.
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR PEOPLE GETTING INTO SKINCARE?
Building an effective skincare regimen doesn’t happen overnight. Each of us have unique skin tones and skin conditions wherein we need to tailor our skincare product only get the products you need for your skin. To get the best bang for your buck, it’s important to practice the basics. Get your greens, stay hydrated and get sufficient sleep. Good skin starts from within. It’s important to practice the basics when you get into skincare. Be sure to show the same amount of love to your mind, body and soul!

SKINCARE MUST HAVES
WHAT ARE YOUR TOP 3 SKINCARE PRODUCTS?
Peptides in skincare are more than just a hype. They’re here to stay. I love using oligopeptide cleansers because they promote huge benefits of retinol without causing skin irritation. They improve general skin cell health and increase the production of collagen, keeping my skin supple!
Oxygen masks are second to none. They similarly increase collagen production and speed up cell turnover without leaving any side effects. They’re also effective in lightening hyperpigmentation and lessen pore growth. Growing up with eczema-prone skin, it’s important for me to be careful in the choice of masks I use.
Good Molecules Discoloration Correcting Serum is an essential in my regimen not just because of its effectiveness but also in the manner the company illustrates the purpose of each ingredient to combat uneven skin tone. All their products come with a nothing to hide ingredient list making it fuss-free. And the best part? Every detail is taken account for when ingredients are concerned!
